UKUWA is a group of high school and university students dedicated to improving the lives of forgotten children in Africa.
Our members synergize campus and community activities, programs and events including:
Informal Meetings - Where students, leaders, and staff come together for refreshments, entertainment and open planning sessions for the group.
Awareness Education Events and Activities – Designed to teach us more about the lives of the children we are helping in Kenya.
After-School Tutoring and Mentoring Program – UKUWA members help Kenyan immigrant and refugee children assimilate into a new culture and educational system.
Unity Camp Program – Once a year, members have the opportunity to meet for a couple of days of learning, fun and activities.
Action Sports Program – Created to foster teamwork and sportsmanship.
Arts, Culture & Government Programs – Short and long trips to places like Washington, D.C. where our members will study the relationship between art and culture and fundraising.
Fundraising Activities and Events – That support UKUWA programs and humanitarian missions.
