UKUWA Members and Friends,
Greetings from the Arctic Circle!
Okay. Not really. But the unseasonably cold weather we are having in Columbus certainly makes me feel like I live near an icecapJ
We have several updates for you this week, so grab a cup of hot cocoa and sit back and enjoy our third newsletter.
o First on tonight’s list of things to discuss is our increase in membership. Since we published the first UKUWA newsletter, Facebook membership has risen almost 75%!!!! We are so excited that our group keeps growing. At every meeting we talk about reaching the youth of the world. Simply, everyone’s participation in the group is making that dream a reality. Thank-you all for joining UKUWA and please encourage your friends to join. The math is simple. The bigger we get, the more people we can help.
o Second, the UKUWA website is nearly complete. Please take a test drive at ukuwa.com and leave your comments and reviews on our Facebook wall. The website is for everyone, and your input is requested.
o Third, a few of us recently had a teleconference that focused on improving UKUWA. We came up with several good ideas during the meeting. But we also decided that our ideas are not enough, and we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to share your thoughts with us. After all, UKUWA is your group!
o Fourth, we are excited to announce that UKUWA is finally organizing in local and international schools. Alex Giffin and his team are getting the ball rolling in Hilliard, and Washington Adel is leading operations in Kenya. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until we begin having meetings and functionsJ
o Fifth, I have an update on the slogan contest. We’re putting the decision in your hands. If you submitted a slogan, look for a poll on the UKUWA website in upcoming days. The first person to receive 100 votes will receive a gift card. Tell your friends to choose YOU!
o Finally, we will begin shooting videos for the UKUWA website soon. Tell us on our wall why you should be in a video and it just might happen!
That’s all for now. Good luck to all of our students on your tests and papers before your vacations begin.
